Anandtech, will check tomorrow.
I don't remember that and I follow quite a few Anandtech articles. I doubt that most at the very least. I'd guess you misread and it would be in regards to the glass back rather than the glass display.
Would be happy to be proven wrong, it would be quite interesting.

Wait, I'm tired and not reading. You're correct, it's the metal backplate on some displays. Sorry.

Claiming 3.5x better performance than an Intel CPU, keep dreaming Tim Crook.
Waiting for independent benchmarks.
A but suspicions that no industry CPU benchmark results/numbers were given.

If it's as fast as Apple claim, will be good to have competition.

EDIT: I like they way they say that the Air is 98% faster than all similar devices sold in 2020 - make sense as there are lots of entry level devices that are slow.

If they achieve the marketing level of performance - this will be HUGE and cause major rethink on Intel.

EDIT:
Benchmarks are in:

CPU performance is better than similar 4/8C Intel & AMD cpu's
GPU performance is better than embedded Intel Iris / AMD MX GPU - just under GTX 1650 speeds
Battery is much better than what Intel & AMD offer.
Seems Apple was right in Performance/Watt claim.
Much, much better than most skeptics predicted.
