Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 lose blood oxygen measurement in the US

Apple Inc. will begin selling versions of its Series 9 and Ultra 2 watches without a blood oxygen feature in the US, following a legal setback in its patent dispute with Masimo Corp.

The company said Wednesday that the tweaked models will go on sale Thursday at its retail outlets and online store.

Strange case this.

Apple invested billions into making a feature & and then say ‘oh well - we can’t be bothered to fight … so we’ll just change our product

Where does it say anywhere that Apple isn't going to fight it?

Right now they're doing what they have to in order to continue selling watches in the US.

I guess they ask the Presiden to help them ?

There needs to be a system in play that if Company A invests into a technology, they can get protection on that technology . Maybe they can apply for the protection so that no one can use it or license fee's ?

It should never have got to ths point.

Not how I read it. They're doing what they need to to continue selling them. It's a software feature so easy to enable in future with a firmware update and there's likely a workaround that clued up users will employ to enable it.
