Apple's market value continues drop after US DOJ announces antitrust lawsuit

The US lawsuit alleges that Apple has used its power over app distribution on the iPhone to thwart innovations that would have made it easier for consumers to switch phones.

The company has refused to support cross-platform messaging apps, limited third-party digital wallets and non-Apple smartwatches, and blocked mobile cloud streaming services, according to the DOJ.

It highlights five examples of technologies in which it says Apple suppresses competition: super apps, cloud streaming game apps, messaging apps, smartwatches and digital wallets.

Apple is being targeted because they have lots of money and people want a slice of it. So its easy to find stupid little things and run after them. Governments love getting payouts from Business...

Nvidia is doing well now too, wait for it - Govts will find some AI issue to bring up and sue them for a slice of the pie..

Apple has done nothing wrong and should be left alone.

You explained to me that Masimo created a fake business of $8bn / 6,000 employees purely to get money of Apple Ultra watch.
And then Tim Cook only backed down because he didn't want trouble & wasn't prepared to defend the decision?

I draw the line when they start interfering with corporates. I'm a firm believer companies should be running this planet not useless governments :) Yes, I was all for the Mikkei Combine in the Dark Matter series and the RAC in Killjoys.
