APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The in-house development team of requires a strong Application support specialist (Min 4 years of experience) to work from our client`s offices in Green Point. The resource will work on their existing Investment Administration Software Solutions
DUTIES AND DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 1st and 2nd Line Support for applications (Data warehouse and Investment administration systems).
• 1st and 2nd line Support admin
• Understanding the data flow within the business as it relates to data being fed into and out of end-user systems.
• Daily monitoring of systems.
• Writing queries (SQL)
• Communicating with end users and other support teams within IT
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• University Degree will be beneficial
• Strong SQL skills, Database and database query skills in SQL Server.
• Good understanding and experience of investment management processes, systems and related instruments preferable.
• Understanding of key Back Office, Investment and Client Group systems.
• Understanding of investment terminology and related security information.
• Experience of large and varied data sets, from multiple data sources, in order to conduct analysis and streamline processes.
• Experience in querying data and establishing data anomalies.
• Experience in monitoring system availability and effectively communicating with relevant parties.
• Working knowledge of client reporting systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is advantageous
