I'm on the look out for a hefty price reduction on soul calibur and if it comes up & you see it please post it here. Normal price is $14.99 on that game.

You can use something like AppZapp to monitor price drops. You can setup push & email alerts per app.

Just to be sure, register an account with http://appshopper.com/ and then tick on Want It under the app. When there is a price reduction you will get an email from the site. I use this to keep an eye on apps that want to get on sale to save me replying on seeing a post elsewhere.

Oh sorry, almost a dup post, I see morkhans said similar thing

Is iTunes the only place to get apps? Do developers send their apps to itunes or does itunes search the web to get the apps? Can you get apps somewhere else because they are not in itunes?

iTunes the only place to get apps. Developers send their apps to itunes. There is a process and certain criteria an app must meet before it is accepted by iTunes...

iTunes is the only place you can get apps… unless you've jailbroken your device.

If you've jailbroken your device, where else can you get apps from? Is it not risky?

Dont take my word as gospel - I've only jailbroken my devices once or twice in the past but decided both times that the juice wasn't worth the squeeze - but I understand Cydia is one alternative to the iOS app store.

As for the risk factor - I suppose it is inherently more risky than shopping from the Apple vetted app store.

I wanted to jailbreak my ipod touch because I was a bit bored. I went through the motions but hit a few snags so headed off to iphoneza and they gave me a few pointers then realised that an ipsw file was not on my pc so have to download it but it's almost 850mb so I am waiting for the new month to kick in with gigs then I MIGHT try it again.
