Hi
I will be purchasing a vehicle soon and am considering getting one of the above chips installed solely for the purpose of the anti theft programs they offer.

Might be a good investment in south Africa. May do better than a tracker to stop the thieves.

Anyone tried them out and uses them on a daily basis?

Thank you

It allows you to disable the ECU.
Through a simple shortcut because then surely every criminal will also know about it just like they know about stealing the car in the first place?

Or through some pin code type setup?

Purpose
Nearly all other traditional methods of anti-theft, such as alarms, in-line kill switches, and steering wheel locks, have turned out to be no trouble for novice and professional thieves. With the Anti-theft System, unless he knows how to reprogram the Bosch Motronic ECU, he'll have no hope of moving your car, even if handed the key! The program will allow the car to attempt to crank, but will not allow the engine to fire. At $199 it is a bargain compared to other less effective methods.

Hahahaaa, agreed, though APR pretty good as well.
Must say, I would NEVER consider any of these options mainly for their "anti theft"...
