Rain will be "player of note" in fixed and mobile broadband

Rain intends to be a "player of note" in South Africa's fixed and mobile broadband market, according to African Rainbow Capital (ARC) co-CEO Johan van Zyl.

During ARC's annual financial results for the year ended 30 June 2022, Van Zyl also noted that Rain already has a substantial foothold in the fixed broadband space.

/subs to watch the fallout

Honestly I'd love to support Rain but I've not seen them where I live. They arrived where I used to live just after I left. I've also heard horror stories... so hopefully they fix those pronto otherwise this is a pipe dream.

When did they buy a fibre provider? Oh, you mean that SIM I can take wherever that there is coverage? Player of note in BS it seems.

The northern side of Magaliesberg is so dry and dusty, I can't wait for some Rain....

Couldn't even get the 4G right......

Yeah no, their pricing is still a bit off and have stagnated. Wireless need to be much cheaper to gain traction.

I really like RAIN, I liked the 5G service, Problem is I moved to an area where there is no more 5G.

I canceled my RAIN 5G in April, They only collected the device in July.
Meanwhile, I was charged for all the time without me using it.

After numerous calls and escalations about getting my money refunded, I'm still waiting.
Yesterday called again, and escalated again, A manager will contact me, but nothing yet.
Customer Service Is Really Bad. Please phone me and pay me back my money.
