Got any reference for this claim?

Im guessing this is Techne just being Techne :erm: , im sure you are well aware of the huge amount of studies that have been done on this matter.

Just a heads up , if you are in your mood looking for an argument in semantics and bs then im not interested.

Hahaha climate change, the next great deception (that will cost you more money).

The experts have had to backtrack on nearly all their fatalistic predictions of the past.

"Global warming" has been a part of human history for as long as we can remember, temperatures change, and so too the local ecosystems, landscapes, fauna and flora, nothing has changed in that respect.

NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth's atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing. The study indicates far less future global warming will occur than United Nations computer models have predicted, and supports prior studies indicating increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide trap far less heat than alarmists have claimed.

Some people really don't know what they are talking about, yet take such entirely fundamental positions!

This lady I respect, Monckton grilled her, yet she was honest enough to acknowledge that she has some "homework" to do; many other 'climate changers', would have shut up shop, put their fingers in their ears and let their ego's get the better of them.

He makes so much sense it is frightening how people can still believe in this scam. Reminds me of the religious folks.

Here's the thing about Lord Monckton -- he's all about stats, figures and cold hard evidence.

And most importantly he knows his stuff.

He doesn't engage in emotional appeals, he get's down to the facts.

Didnt you know , 90% of all scientists make up stuff about global warming so they can have money and control.

No, politicians like Al Gore popularise and make things up and charge you for it. Did you know that Al Gore profits hugely from global warming?

More and more scientists reject the pseudo-science and massaged figures that represent "global warming".

Money, and control.

lol, so like the EPA founded in 1970s is all lies and a conspriacy for money? unleaded petrol ? clean water act? clean air act?

So how do they get money buy promoting us to use less electricity and solar heating and why power plants spend MILLIONS of dollars pumping CO2 in the ground if its a government conspiracy ? they are government plants

So next thing what control they get from saying "the earth is getting hotter, stop wasting resources" ?

im so lost now :(

Kay, you keep telling yourself this. No doubt Gore makes money from it, that's besides the point as there are very many scientist that don't.

I think politicians create these "debates" to breed professional trolls.

Where does popular science lead:

83-Year-Old Woman Denied Health Care Over “Carbon Footprint”

What do real scientists think, rather than politicians who have a direct financial interest:

Survey: Less Than Half of all Published Scientists Endorse Global Warming Theory

Comprehensive survey of published climate research reveals changing viewpoints.

In 2004, history professor Naomi Oreskes performed a survey of research papers on climate change. Examining peer-reviewed papers published on the ISI Web of Science database from 1993 to 2003, she found a majority supported the "consensus view," defined as humans were having at least some effect on global climate change. Oreskes' work has been repeatedly cited, but as some of its data is now nearly 15 years old, its conclusions are becoming somewhat dated.

Medical researcher Dr. Klaus-Martin Schulte recently updated this research. Using the same database and search terms as Oreskes, he examined all papers published from 2004 to February 2007. The results have been submitted to the journal Energy and Environment, of which DailyTech has obtained a pre-publication copy. The figures are surprising.

Of 528 total papers on climate change, only 38 (7%) gave an explicit endorsement of the consensus. If one considers "implicit" endorsement (accepting the consensus without explicit statement), the figure rises to 45%. However, while only 32 papers (6%) reject the consensus outright, the largest category (48%) are neutral papers, refusing to either accept or reject the hypothesis. This is no "consensus."

The figures are even more shocking when one remembers the watered-down definition of consensus here. Not only does it not require supporting that man is the "primary" cause of warming, but it doesn't require any belief or support for "catastrophic" global warming. In fact of all papers published in this period (2004 to February 2007), only a single one makes any reference to climate change leading to catastrophic results.

These changing viewpoints represent the advances in climate science over the past decade. While today we are even more certain the earth is warming, we are less certain about the root causes. More importantly, research has shown us that -- whatever the cause may be -- the amount of warming is unlikely to cause any great calamity for mankind or the planet itself.

Schulte's survey contradicts the United Nation IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report (2007), which gave a figure of "90% likely" man was having an impact on world temperatures. But does the IPCC represent a consensus view of world scientists? Despite media claims of "thousands of scientists" involved in the report, the actual text is written by a much smaller number of "lead authors." The introductory "Summary for Policymakers" -- the only portion usually quoted in the media -- is written not by scientists at all, but by politicians, and approved, word-by-word, by political representatives from member nations. By IPCC policy, the individual report chapters -- the only text actually written by scientists -- are edited to "ensure compliance" with the summary, which is typically published months before the actual report itself.

By contrast, the ISI Web of Science database covers 8,700 journals and publications, including every leading scientific journal in the world.

You make the mistake of generalising.

Most people I know who think global warming is a crock, also believe that we also need to start treating our natural resources (fish stocks for example) and the earth in general (felling of our forests worldwide) with a lot more respect.

There are many issues at play here. Going green is not a bad thing at all, but sacrificing economics, jobs and lives (food being used for bio-fuel instead of filling an empty stomach) in the name of going green is not. We need a balancing act here, which will take a lot more time and patience than simply waving a magic wand.

Not everything is a conspiracy, but not everything is black and white either. There are plenty of grey areas inbetween.

Your story is rubbish about the carbon foot print denying medical care btw. If you in a state facility (same as here) you HAVE to go to your closes facility, you are not allowed to go where you want without referals.

sacrificing economics, jobs and lives

whose jobs ? and whose lives?

Not everything is a conspiracy

There are no conspiracies, earth is getting hotter period. Dont believe it? go do your own research and plot the average temperatures for your own city.
