Companies on local sites usually will pick locals for a job above foreigners. Are there any sites that have worldwide jobs where companies would pick a foreigner (through work visa) over a local

Also, keep in mind, most countries try to hire locals first. A lot get tax breaks in order to hire locals first. Chances are that you're going to ask them to pay for a move to a foreign country as well. You have to be exceptional to be recognized - and to be honest, not even knowing about linkedin, doesn't speak of excellence.

All the best with your search though.

Definitely LinkedIn. Also note that larger companies tend to have the specialist immigrant worker process down to a science, while smaller companies don’t even know who they can or cannot hire.

What experience and qualifications do you have? Most countries require companies to show that an effort was made to hire local talent first. The more credentials you have, the less competition you have.

LinkedIn is probably your most important one, e.g. Amazon scrapes your CV off it.

The there's indeed, glass door, etc.

Offerzen recently opened a branch in the Netherlands supposedly (software recruitment).

Remote as in working overseas or remote as working for an overseas company while in SA? For the former, you pay to the foreign country’s tax system, assuming you no longer meet the “SA tax resident” test criteria, for the latter you pay SA tax.

Remote work for an overseas company while staying in SA. Is it only SA tax or will you be taxed by the other country as well?

Just SA tax. A few exceptions for the few countries that tax their citizens globally (eg, if you had dual SA and USA citizenship).
