Don't you find IX to be one of the easier (early) FF's? Compared to 7/8 and even 10
Oh yeah. Way easier than X/X-2, XII and VII. VIII was pretty easy I felt.

Im doing a cheat run for achievements now though. First time playing this Moguri Mod version, and it's great. IX will always be my favorite in the series.

My 9 year old and I are almost finished with It Takes Two. Been an absolute blast!
think this is a important part of being a gamer, it hits me right in the feels when i see my kids enjoying something that i did when i was their, I'm way softer than what my parents were with me, to them games were the spawn of Satan in the early 90s, luckily i had a Pa that i could convince to get me almost anything i wanted, TV Games 1993/1994 was the start of it, my own first console!

100%. Born in 86 so I also grew up with the games and the industry. My folks still frown at it lol (Are you still playing those TV games?). My kid loves it, and her friends think Im the coolest dad with a PS5 and gaming PC and all that.

Almost 40 and never grew out of it. 3 of my favorite games of all time I played the last 3 years. TOTK, BG3 and Elden Ring.

Yeah for reals. I think there is a age/time where you don’t want to be super competitive anymore, you just want to play what you want to play, on your own pace

I stopped playing MP games ages ago. I went through the WOW/Dota/CS years and then just didn't want to play online ever again. I play with one or two friends in campaign games like Remnant and things like that. But MP games I have just outgrown and dont want to get mad anymore lol

Not a real gamer. When the kids had Playstations I would play some Grand Turismo sometimes. These days only game a enjoy sometimes is Fortnite. Just love sitting in a bush and piss off some kid when I snipe him while he is sweating and building castles.

Are people still playing Mass Effect 3 MP? That was so much fun back in the day.
If you're lucky or if you have some buddies you can group up with.

I tried a while back on the PS3 version and didn't find any active games, might also be region/time specific.

Anyone here owned a voodoo?

My first gpu was a tnt2 ultra in a pentium 3 600mhz machine.

We had a pentium mmx 166 before that but can only play in software rendering. Quake, half life, carmageddon, sim city 2000, flight sim 95…

I do however miss COD MP. Especially knife kills then the lobby afterwards:

386sx or 486 sx, not sure now. Been years.

Still remember had to run that memmanager to start Doom.
- all the way so the laptop could handle doom.

I want to start it so I can show you guys KGame.

Started gaming way back in the early 80's on an Atari 2600. Then the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, PC, Sega master system, Nintendo family computer, PS 1/2 and finally onto the various Xbox models. Currently gaming on a series S and busy on Assassin's Creed - Origins. Nowadays I don't get too much time to play however as I work on Saturdays. So limited to the weekends. Still love to game though.

You poor child, I had a yellow monochrome screen, so much better than the green ones! :)

I started out with an XT:

Flip-top case
512K RAM???
8-bit 8080 CPU @2 MHz!
11.5" CRT Monitor (Yellow)
Enhanced CGA card with 16 shades of yellow!
Enhanced I/O card with game port
2 x Serial- & 1 x Parallel Port
20MB of HDD!
Turbo switch 4X! (from 2 MHz to 8MHz, IINM - but I still that it was a gimmick!)
5.25" floppy drive
MS-DOS 3.2
Cost ±R5000.00 back in the day!

I loved every millimetre of it!

Edited for accuracy

Started on Commodore 64, IBM XT and Famicom (Famiclone) at age 10

Yes currently playing overwatch 2 and some fifa, age of empires and just recently palworld and when I feel nostalgic I go back to my football manager 2014 game.

Been playing since I can remember, and still playing years later. some of the games mentioned here are reminders of my younger years. Prince of persia, duke nukem, sim city, cod4, battlefield, team fortress 2 etc

My son is also an advent gamer and was great being able to share and play with and against him in the online gaming world. He just got much better than me and so used to kick my @ss and its still like that
