Are you getting multiple copies of the same SMS?

Really what's on the box. I must have got over 7 copies of one SMS. And am currently on 5 on another. From different people who are both on Vodacom.

I kept getting the same sms from a mate on vodacom I replied to one of them and it didnt go through. Then when I try to call him I get "The subscriber you have dialed is not available" message. I think its a vodacrap problem.

WTF is up with the networks and SMSs?

Im having the same problems with multiple sms's, delayed sms's etc. I don't believe the problem was fixed yesterday at 4pm....my girlfriend kept receiving multiple delayed sms's from me way after that time. Im vodacom and she's mtn. These days i usually dont bother smsing her because it's just too unreliable.

All this makes me pretty angry when I consider how much money the cell networks are making on sms. Its ludicrous.

another point to add: I've phoned vodacom to complain about delayed sms's sent to mtn numbers. The response I got was that I was the first person ever to complain of such a problem. I find this impossible to believe, considering that the other 4 people in my office all agreed with me that they have the same problem, never mind the countless others I have heard having similar issues with delayed sms's between networks.

I can only conclude that the cell networks arent so keen to fix the problem, as everyone will just have to make calls rather then sms's and then they'll make $$$ of note.
