Any maffaka who says he is happy with his bank needs his head read.
****ing leeches

It is because Absa has focus on being a bank not everything under the sun except being a bank.

Actually have a real private banker that you have a cellphone number for not some "team" Bs with chat functions that never work.
Absa Private Banker is as useful as a wet slice of bread.

What's your experience?

Find it way easier. Reply to emails within minutes. Easy to get a hold of. It remains the same person so easier to maintain accountability.

Sign for documents and new applications with DocuSign pretty quickly.
Airport lounge access so can't really complain.

Sorry, I'm thinking business banker.

have experience as a customer with most of our banks, Capitec has been the best for quite a few years now (ok technically 2nd best after 20Twenty ... RIP)

still have a SBSA account for home affairs purposes only and I regret not going with someone else

Open an FNB Easy PAYU account (if there are FNB hosted Home Affairs in your area). Like R6 pm and Home Affairs access.

Not particularly happy or unhappy. I just find the fees quite high and unexplainable.

It's supposed to be an all inclusive package deal, yet each month there are lots of random fees.

But it doesn't bother me enough to go through the effort of moving banks, plus I don't expect any other bank to be any different.

They are all bad, but FNB is the best of the bunch. Capitec is not even a real bank so would never consider them.
