But nervy considering that we lost to 3, average at best, sides before beating Chelsea, United, West Ham. It’s very much in our hands.

The team needs to keep their cool. When the pressure is on they tend to make mistakes and commit fouls which was what holding did last night. Fingers crossed for the last two games...

Anyone else feeling a bit nervous about tonight knowing that we now HAVE to win?

Newcastle have nothing to play for - they’re not even incentivised to finish higher up the table because their sugar daddy is going to splash the cash next season anyway. But they are The Toon, and it’s their past home game of the season. Howe has done wonders with them since he took over, so it’s not going to be easy.

Depending on how other results go later this week and on Sunday, Everton could be fighting for their lives, and they’ve already beaten us once this season. Teams who are on the brink of relegation are always the most difficult teams to play against. But, they lost 2 CBs this weekend, so that may play into our favour.

All we can do now is hope we get our game plan right tonight, and then finally get over the line on Sunday.

they REALLY wanted to give that handball yesterday.

hopefully this **** show of handball and "unnatural position" (because having your hands on your side or behind your back is a "natural" position when moving.....) can be sorted next season

My concern with Newcastle is that they would want as many big 6 scalps just to prove that they plan to compete with the big boys in the future and Arsenal could be seen as the member of the big 6 to target.

That said the way the league as played out so far, I think we should be able beat Newcastle. If anything less than an Everton win midweek then we're in for a nervous final day.

Dont overthink this game ( Not so easy as we are Arsenal fans) but lets be logical and look at some of the stats


- Arsenal have won 17 of their last 18 league matches against Newcastle

- Newcastle have won their final home league match in six of the last eight seasons

- Arsenal have lost their final away league match in just one of the last 11 seasons

We can do this>>>

Thing I hate the most is Arsenal social media. On the day leading up to the match they’ll post some “last time out” or “on this day” nonsense when The Invincibles thrashed whichever team we’re playing, only for the current side to go ahead and lose.

Bloody Premier League. Just posted highlights from that match. Amazing that Arsene Wenger had a team with Walcott, Djourou and Squillaci battling for the title with Man United that year. Of course, after that match it didn’t matter in the end because we pretty much just capitulated: United ran away with it, and we ended up 4th.
