that's fine. you need 7/10 squad players who can come in and do a job

people expecting "world-class" players in every position + backup are living in a dream world. this basically happens at 1 team in world football

The number of times we could’ve used someone like AMN this season, it still boggles that we just shipped him off to Roma.

Speaking of players on loan, we need to make a firm decision on players like Saliba, Guendouzi and Torreira as well. Another 3 that would’ve been extremely useful with all the injuries we had.

AFAIK, Guendouzi is basically sold, loan with obligation

Saliba must come back and fight it out with White and Gabriel. If he is too weak willed to do that/wants guarantees, then he must be sold

Saliba would want to stay Marseille and play in the Champions League

Been watching FA Cup highlights today. Perfect player we need to sign in the summer is someone on the level of peak Sanchez. The whole Man United transfer saga kind of just spoiled the whole thing, but man he was an absolute demon for us.

. . . Hopefully he has learned enough to lead the lines. Doubt it, but can only hope.

Eddie isn’t the answer. He only came in because he was better than a really bad Lacazette, who was better than a terrible Aubamayang who’d signed for Barcelona. Basically, Arteta had no choice.

Europa means a lot more games, and means we’ll be playing on Thursdays and Sundays. Throw in games for the two domestic cups, and that’s a LOT of football. We ran out of players too often without being in any of those cup competitions for half the year (Europe not at all).

A player like Eddie needs to remain a squad player, starting in FA and League Cup games. We need to invest in a proper starting striker (or two with Lacazette probably moving on).

What really should’ve happened after Auba left was Arteta playing Martinelli or Pepe down the middle. Instead, he stuck the former on the left wing, and brought the latter on in the last 7mins of matches when he couldn’t do anything constructive.

Mane linked to Bayern, this gets me worried about Saka. If he doesn't sign an extension now I fear that the board will sell him because they'll get full value plus some for a player with 2 years left on his contract vs getting less than market value for a player with a year left on his contract.

The difference between 60 - 70mil selling Saka with 2 years on his contract vs 30 - 40 mil selling him with 1 year left on his contract.

For a club with actual ambition of reaching the UCL it's a no brainer, but do the Kroenkes really ambition for this club?

With Mane possibly going to Bayern, it also opens up a return for Gnabry. Timing isn’t great, though, because he wants out soon, and knowing us we’ll hold out until 2023 to get him on a free.

As for Saka, he should theoretically go for at least £100mil now because of the English Tax. But of course, I hope the board never even consider any offers for him.

In other news, PSG are interested in Pepe. I say we milk them for as much as possible.

The kronkes have shown they are willing to drop loads of cash. Short term money doesn’t seem to much of a concern, despite the usual narrative that is told.

Saka will 100% sign a new contract. Main man at boyhood club and is 20. Has multiple large contracts left still in his career.

I see there are ****ing Nations League games in June, in a World Cup year. What the actual ****. Proof that UEFA and FIFA don’t give a damn about sport or the players, only money

Our board have a talent of letting players go for cheaper than they are worth.

As long as Pepe doesn't go to Newcastle I'm happy. PSG have a star studded bench as well, so maybe a player swap with PSG paying the difference of that player's wage, similar to how Arsenal paid Auba and Ozil when they left the club may be in order.

If Nkethia is getting 100K , Saka should be getting 200K minimum.
