Nice run of wins. Emery still working out a few things, that seems clear. Winning while he's doing this is a nice surprise.

The team is a bit unbalanced atm, but I suppose that's only something he'll be able to fix after a few transfer windows.

that watford game was the type of game we probably would've lost last season, mustafi's still our worst defender, I love our pitbull in midfield he needs to come down a bit with some of those fouls or he'll have a card every game. Emery's really done a good job so far and he's gotten the team working a little bit harder without the ball

5 wins on the bounce. when was the last time you guys managed that?

Emery is starting to imprint his ideas on the team and you can see the effect.

The pleasing thing for you guys must be that you don't even look good atm but that's more because of the squad imbalance. few transfer windows to correct that and you could be among the top teams again.

positive signs all round IMO.

Getting top 4 would be a fantastic achievement.

Honestly, apart from the 5 in row (last time was beginning and end of 2016/17) it's nice to win against teams that would potentially prove to be a banana peel in the past. The "kak" games that we'd normally come away with a point or less.

Yes, we're a 2nd-half team most games, but as long as we come away with the points, I can't really complain.

After the first couple of games, I was struggling to see what exactly Emery was trying to do, but it's slowly starting to make sense now.

And possibly one of my favourite things about the new boss:

4 Shots on target 3 goals.

It's so weird atm, I honestly don't know what to make of it. I feels like we're riding our luck while we hopefully get things in place.

Suppose all one can do is sit back and enjoy the show.

Absolutely. 8 wins in a row in all competitions. Whatever he's doing, it's working. The teams we've beaten aren't exactly world-class, sure, but at least it means he's had time to start getting things right. If we'd lost or drawn a couple along the way, things may have been different.

Random stat: Papa is the first non-Arsene player to score for us since he left

A draw in the pool/city game would actually be desirable. Not that we're challenging but it feels better being there and there abouts

Well then. 9 in a row. 4th place trophy already pretty much secured. Fans singing "Unai Emery's Red Army" - things are looking good lads!

I'm loving form that Laca and Aba have found, they also look like they are best friends, very lekker to see.

Dodgy defense, good attack, same ol' Arsenal eh :) Keep em coming gunners!
