That finish is sublime, effortless precision. Auba has definitely made an impact, loving the combo of him and laca.. Feels weird to have decent strikers again

Funny you should mention that. We were chatting at work today about Özil, aka sicknote, and why he possibly really didn't play. He wouldn't have suited a high intensity game like that anyway - it was all hands on deck for 90mins. But the excuse for him was always that whereas he was feeding Ronaldo and co at Madrid, he only had the likes of Giroud at Arsenal, so was never going to reproduce the same form. He now has Auba and Laca, so what's the issue?

Even though we drew. Unbeaten in 20 games. First time since 2007. Not bad! Hectic schedule this week. COYG

United unfortunately played a bit better than they've been against other teams. Mou's plan seemed to be to press for everything (and keep Arsenal from playing out the back) but also keep from getting caught on the break.

Holding also with what looks like a potentially bad knee injury.....

Holding is going to be big miss, think he did really well so far this season. Might even have been our best defender. Lets hope Koscielny is back. I see Monreal is back in training as well.

Huddersfield
Qarabag (Europa)
Southhampton
Spurs (League Cup)
Burnley
Brighton
Liverpool.

7 fixtures till the end of the month. I know the kids can play in Europa since we're through, but the league cup fixture is against spurs. Going to be interesting.

Kos hobbled off in an u23 game the other night, but resumed training again the next day. At this rate we're going to need him soon.

For once, I'm not really all that concerned: the January window is a few weeks away, and this new Arsenal setup will actually go out and buy players if needed. We may need a new CB, and will probably need to think about replacing Welbs, too - he hasn't been offered a new contract.

Xhaka will be back from suspension for the next game, but I don't know how serious Ramsey's injury is, so we may be short of creativity in midfield. While it's great we have Torreira - a position we haven't filled since Gilberto left - I think the next midfield purchase should be one that replaces the void left by Santi. Özil just doesn't do it for me anymore, and rarely plays because of random back injuries (too much Fortnite?), Ramsey's leaving and Mkhi has struggled for form.

Holding's season is over. Cruciate injury. :(

pity for him because he was starting to play really well at the back
I would also like us to get another defender to replace Mustafi. I like Socratis and Mustafi is a decent defender but he makes some awful decisions.

If we don't go for a defender in January I will be dissapointed as that is the type of pragmatism we've missed in the past.

Mislintat and Emery sound like the type that will get that business done swiftly instead of trying to squeeze a square peg into a round hole.

Yeah he's still around. Nacho is training again, so may play him on the left of the back 3 (if we stick with it).
