Whole thing was a bit meh. Their penalty was soft, but something like 7 players were in an offside position, so shouldn't have been given anyway. Ours should have been retaken cause Vertonghen was about 7 steps into the 18 yard box as Auba kicks the ball. But, he should've buried it regardless. Both strikers were off the boil in a very important match. Definitely 2pts dropped.

Wouldn't make any excuses for Auba, that was a **** penalty and he knows it... Both penalties were soft, if we took ours we would have had the game.

We played really well for an away derby game.... Ozil and the strikers didn't show up though. Strikers have been good all season, so can't fault them. Biggest worry for me is Ramsey moving on, when he has been one of our best in the last couple of months. Not sure who Emery has planned to bring in, but with Ozil playing the way he has for the past year and half, we are in desperate need for someone in the midfield.

That is our eternal problem, players that are injured, or who do not produce that which they are capable off. Unfortunately football is a team game. If the defense don't work the attack does not have the freedom to make the most of their opportunities. And if mid does not function, defense and attack are two distinct, disconnected entities.

I felt like we got jacked to be honest, the ref had a shocker. Dubious penalties (especially the Arsenal one), dubious red card decision (if Torreria gets a red card, Rose is a red card too) and never really felt like he was in control of the game.

Had chances to win it, the bad decisions went both ways, we didn't take our chances...

We have such a talent for making these things so more difficult than it needs to be.

Will I be a fool to wish for a positive result against United in Sunday ?

Got to say I was surprised at the very positive approach in the line up. Intent was there

Correct in approach. Using Ramsey in a mostly defensive role and keeping Ozil behind 2 strikers was a very positive approach.

Clean sheet against United, that's impressive. We got a very good goalie, just need to put some quality in front of him.

Actually got a feeling of satisfaction from breaking their run as a sort of revenge for match 50.

Well done Gunners, well done.

Leno was 'on it' tonight - when he's in that kind of mood he's a unbeatable.

Should have been 3 with the lacazette miss.

Btw, how poor was John Moss? (I'm not referring to the penalty)

Actually Arsenal was lucked United rode all their luck on Wednesday - if we had the same luck we would have been 3-1 up by half time but football is a crazy game sometimes :D You win some you lose some

Gotta love a win against utd and getting a soft penalty to boot.

Not a fan on PEA penalties though...

Football's a weird game. United beat the top side in France 1-3. We lost 3-1 to the side placed 8th, and went into this game off the back of that result as major underdogs.

Yet, here we are, 3pts better off, and only 1 behind the yidds. We're also the only team in the Top 6 now who doesn't have a game against any of the others, so the 3rd to 6th landscape could change significantly in the next 8 games.

All the signs pointed to an Arsenal win but I still was skeptical with our recent form against United
