Newcastle away as our opening game for 2019/20. Just wonder if they'd have signed Mbappe by then...

And then we have Liverpool away, and Sp*rs at home at the the end of the month.

Howzit guys. Haven't posted here in a while.

I'm fairly disappointed in Emery's first season. I'm more irritated at the spectacular way we blew 4th place than losing the EL. And 40 million quid in "warchest?" What will that get us? Two thirds of Virgil Van Dyk? I think we might need to sell in order to rebuild.

If we had to sell Auba or Laca? Who would you guys keep?

I'd keep Laca.

What's the story with Ozil and Mustafi? I can't believe noone wants to buy them, which is what the press is saying

I doubt their will be suitable buyers with the big deterrent beng the price tag but the other issues will be the poor work ethic and the fallout with Emery that has been highly publicised

Latest rumour is United are ready to offer £70mil for Auba. He's 30, and in peak condition. It's a tough one, but I say keep them both. We've been hurt too much in the past by letting players go to rivals (excluding Sanchez).

Ljungberg is replacing Bould in the first team setup after doing well with the u23's, so I'm guessing the focus will be on bringing players up from that bracket instead of going out and buying players who are ready.

On that note, our only potential signing is another kid. Some 18-year old Brazilian. Meanwhile, we still need to replace Ramsey, Ospina (permanent to Napoli), Welbeck (we have no real backup forwards), and possibly Kos who wants a new challenge. We're also going into the start of the season with no recognised RB. And we only have £40mil to spend.

Really looking forward to 2019/20. Said no Gooner ever...

To a rival sure but what if one of the continental giants come knocking?

Yeah, I think that is the plan too. I also think it might be the beginnings of succession planning. The issue I have with bringing youth is that we then have to accept that it will take a few seasons for them to develop. The way we played the EL group stages was baffling. Why didn't we blood youth like AW used to in the League Cup? At least a few good performances would have netted us more money on the players we chose to sell?

I would also really like to know why Mslintat left. That was a big loss.

I **** myself everytime I see Mustafi's name in the starting lineup. I'm also really, really worried about that Ramsey shaped hole in our midfield. Nevermind the ridiculous deal given to Ozil, letting Ramsey go for free is sacrilege.

On the bright side. The new Adidas kits look sick!

Re: Özil. No Arsenal fan minds keeping him, or even keeping him on £350k a week. As long as we get the Özil that we first signed, that had the highest number of assists and key passes across all 5 top leagues in his first 2 seasons.

But this current version needs to piss of to Turkey ASAP.

lets have at it what do we actually need

Defence
we need a senior centerback and atleast a backup fullback
Umtiti
koulibaly
(these two are out of our price range but muppets gonna muppet)
William Saliba (I heard this almost a done deal already don't know this lad)
hakim ziyech (dirt cheap at 25mill can legit play anywhere from what Ive seen in the CL, FB,LW, RW, CAM)

midfield
we need another box to box midfielder

Adrein rabiot (hasn't renewed with psg seems to be frozen out, a free transfer could work for us)
dennis praet (allegedly made a decent duo with toreira at sampdoria)

forwards
we're ok mostly but we could do with a proper winger or two

carrasco (desparate to leave china could be an easy get)
Reiss nelson (currently on loan)
Alexis Claude-Maurice (foetus from ligue 2 with 14 goals, might be a done deal too)

Am I the only one who gets vexed by Arsenal's social media presence? Other teams use it to announce new signings. Arsenal? Oh, it's Sead's birthday today! We signed Bergkamp 24 years ago today! On this day we beat this team! No one ****ing cares!

It's like even the club itself has resigned to living in the past.

Have you actually read other teams social media?
Did we sign someone that wasn’t announced?
Stop being so dramatic. Internet Arsenal supporters are the worst

I actually watch games at the Emirates, and am a card carrying member. Nice try, though.

Oh look, he is a bigger Arsenal supporter than me because he “actually” watches games at the Emirates.

How many games do we need to attend to be real fans? Do Highbury trips count?

Dozens, nay, hundreds, including Highbury (which I've also been to).

Nah, I'm just finally calling you out after years of snarky comments aimed at "internet fans" because they don't seem to be allowed to have opinions on AFC that you don't agree with.
