Galacticos, super attack with a suspect defense.

Thinking of the Luiz situation, he will inspire the team to be better because of his achievements and will want to win something with us.
Being a Brazilian will help Martinelli also to settle in the team and in London.
The fact that he wanted to play with Emery shows that we have a top level coach.

I am quite happy that Iwobi is out, he did have some good games but I didn't like his play on the whole.

Haven't seen a full game of Pepe but if we shelling out so much, hope he delivers on that promise. Too much to expect another Henry, or is he ???

Tierney, we still have Nacho and the Tank, but maybe one of them will be a left winger to replace Iwobi.

Saliba will join next season, partly explains why we needed Kos to stay but that also shows forward planning, Martinelli also being very young.


Overall, very happy with the transfers and hope we can get 3rd place, might be too optimistic. We lost Rambo, a huge player with a great heart but the transfer window I think has masked some of that disappointment.

Previous most exciting transfer moment for me was when we got Mezut on a deadline day deal.

He's great going forward. Not so much with the defending bit all the time. He reminds me of Jonah Lomu in a way. Technically not that great, so just runs through people with the ball instead.

Also, Emery has told Mustafi he can go if he wants. But was diplomatic as always, saying he can use him if he stays.
