My uncle was a water engineer for the municipality for 42 years, he left to go work at a private firm because he said the municipality is a joke and he spends most of his days teaching his new "boss" how to do his job, his new boss btw was one of the black guys that was working under him that didnt even finnish matric.
Anyway, he is making a ton of money now so i'm happy for him, he should have left years ago ...
I dont know what salary he was getting at the municipality, i do know tho that when he left they had to pay him out 2.5mil, so i think he really scores on all fronts. get payd a lump sum and start work at a new firm that pays a higher salary ....
