Ascension

So ive now got my first lvl20 char and im currently doing Sanctum Cay. I am planning on finishing all the missions through to hell etc but when does ascension happen? I know that ascension involves 3 missions in the dessert but where exactly are these and do they work like normal missions? ie: get a party together and go for it?

Also, whats the idea behind ascension? Whats the point?

Hey RisseN,

this is easy, like u said finish the 3 desert missions. Once completed, go to augury rock and speak to the Npc who controls the entrance. You will then have to kill your Doppelganger and boom... u're acended

Yes, after Sanctum Cay you need three more missions in the desert and then another mission where you basically fight yourself. Ascending gives you access to the Underworld and Fissure of Woe and allow you to do two quests that give you 15 attribute points each. You can then also change your secondary profession as much as you want. Other than that, there is nothing major to it. It is mostly a very nice milestone to achieve in the game.

Ok, thanks. And after that I can carry on with the rest of the missions as per normal?

edited: dont worry, found some usefull stuff on another forum. Cool well ill get started with ascension whenever im online next.

Yes, They are all normal missions on the mission path. The only one you do alone is the one where you fight a copy of yourself.

Where and how do you get to fight in the hall of heroes?...How does it work?
You always get these msg's like Europe has taken to favour of the gods away from America...

Maybe someone can help me on this?...I'm keen to see this or try it out.

When Favour occurs you are allowed to enter places such as Fissure of Woe & Underworld.

These maps you cannot get into unless your region (Europe/USA/Taiwan) has favour.

Cool, and where on the map are these places? Must you have already 'revealed' that area on the map to see them when the favor is correct or must you go searching?

You can access them with a team in ToA (Temple of Ages), it costs 1k to enter
either UW or FoW. when a district has favor, you kneel by one of the statues and depending which one, you will get a ghost appear. Either Balthazar (FoW) or
Grenth (UW)

Where and how do you get to fight in the hall of heroes?...How does it work?

Gratz with the ascension
Hall of Heroes can be reached by map travel to the Battle Isles (Great Temple of Balthazar).
You must first get through Heroes Ascent by achieving some consecutive victories before going through to HoH where you will battle for favor.
If you do not have Heroes' Ascent unlocked, you must first win 5 consecutive matches in Random Arenas and Team Arenas on the Battle Isles.
