Hi Guys, I've been struggling to get my Asus RTAC68U configured as a router, while using the D-Link DSL 224 as a VDSL Modem.

I've recently upgraded to a 40 meg VDSL Line, the D-Link connects to the internet fine on its own, but when I hook up the Asus to the WAN port, it states that Internet is Not Connected.

I've been playing around with settings but I don't know too much on this subject.

Wireless is currently enabled on the D-Link, not sure if that would be an issue.
Also the D-Link is running in normal mode, not bridge mode.

Any help would be appreciated

tnx!

If it's anything like my situation was it was because the Asus simply didn't understand how to tag the VLAN ID 835 to the wan connection and therefore just gave some errors.

But best to copy and paste your logs to see what it's doing.

D-Link would have to run in Bridge Mode. Normal mode isn't going to allow you to open a PPPoE session from behind it.
