My daughter in her infinite wisdom has purchased this vehicle from an Audi dealer with a maintenance contract(40000 km or 2 years). It is 2nd hand. She is 25 I hope she can harness the power and does not become an aggressive driver. Her previous vehicle being a Citroen Xsara Picasso. Are their any comments regarding this vehicle both negative and positive. It has 79000 km on the clock and the dealer is very reputable.

My Dad has one which is now mine to drive as he has left the country, I love the car!

It has done 120 000km with no major issues.

Its fast, comfortable and pretty good on consumption as long as you don't floor it(easier said than done).

My daughter is a very responsible driver to my knowledge.1 speed fine in 4 years which includes driving my Audi 2.0 TDI. She hardly drinks at all.I don't think she will floor it under normal conditions.I am glad to hear that you have achieved 120000 km with no major issues as her Citroen has had plenty. weeks waiting for heel bearings is to my mind farcical.

eish, thing is, that car is quite a step up from her previous car... it will consume more petrol, and I can see he getting pissed off and driving at 180 km/h :p. But yeah, it's a nice car though :). and Audi are very reliable...

what is concerning is my friend(turning 18) is getting an RS4 as his 1st car... I've made my peace and told him i'm not going near that thing...

Message to your 18 year old friend: His parents are total bloody idiots who obviously have more money than sense. Some idiots should be banned from having children!!!

Having taught in Saudi Arabia where boys (BOYS ONLY) get their licences at 14, and are immediately given a new Merc or BM simply because their parents can afford it pisses me off big time. You will find that this guy is being "bought" by his folks who are on a guilt trip for never being at home!!

She should be fine - the 4 wheel drive will handle just about any weather or risky driving. Make sure the tyres are in top condition.

Only thing is, Audi's are expensive to repair once the maintenance contract ends, so just bear that in mind. My A3 TDI was an absolute nightmare for reliability, but I have heard I was unlucky as most A3 owners seem to have few problems. Being a petrol engine helps too.

I've heard 3 stories of 18 y/o gettings M3 CSL, S2000 and a 135i all been written off... So hope your friend is more sensible/responsible than his parents.

The 135i was collected at 5pm on a Friday and was written off at 10pm at night by the youngster

well im not that old but have driven quite a range of car..

and i will admit you expect more grip from a say 135 than you get, as our roads are not ideal. You don't realise taking a sharp turn at 140 is a no no, but if thats all you've known you will F$#@ something up.
