Just seen advert on Tv. Must say car looks awesome in 'Ferrari Red'

I'd take a V10 R8 over most Ferraris, bar the 288GTO and F40... On topic - I don't expect that ad to be on our screens for long; they mention another brand specifically... big no-no is SA.

Don't like it in red... I am probably in the minority here (actually can't believe I am saying this) but I like the R8 in *gulp* white for some unholy reason.

Same with the old TT... somehow the way the body panels fit together looks incredibly 'manga robot' in white. I think it has to do with the seams being more prominent on a lighter colour.

White on cars is a bit of an odd one - it either works incredibly well, or it just makes the car look utterly bland. It works on the R8, especially with the 'blades' behind the cockpit in carbon fibre. :drool:

For some reason, white doesn't work on something like a modern Ferrari - I think it's got to do with the sculpted lines that fade away on a white car. The R8 is more about the profile & the contrast of the darker areas (blades, grilles front and back, etc.) than the fine details of the design. That's my theory, anyway.

i think the next two toys i wanna try is the R8 V10 and GTR35 (although this R35 does not have the sound to match the go ... !?)
