Bancroft clearly hid that object between his middle and index fingers to scratch the ball and then immediately slipped his right hand inside the trouser pocket to hide it. Coach Lehmann spotted that on TV and communicated the message through walkie-talkie to substitute Handscomb who was sitting downstairs in the dug out. Handscomb then ran on the field between overs to tell Bancroft that he's been caught on camera, after which the opening batsman tried to put that object inside his trouser. Gee, this is big!

Hope he doesn't get away with premeditated ball tampering. Deliberately / Accidentally stepping on a ball is another thing all together.

Well with a name like Bancroft, the judicial inquiry's sentence should speak for itself...

I think we'll hear something more concrete after the day regarding what is going to be done about it. I think the 20 minute tea break was too little time to do anything knee-jerky.

But the evidence is pretty conclusive, and the fact that he tried to hide it and lie about what it really was, only implicates him even more.

Wonder how he's going to bat after this looming over his head or in his pants

Hope Faf moers this smug smirk off Hazlewood's face. Man he has an annoying face.

This makes it even worse, the fact that the coach tried to cover for his player. This makes the coach complicit.

This is why the 2 words, "Aussie" + "bastard", are a collocation.

Indeed.

Lehmann is seen speaking to the sub fielder on their walkie talkies basically telling the sub fielder to let bancroft now he's been spotted. Bancroft then attempts to hide the sandpaper. They all in on it. Cheating is part of the team ethos.

Agreed. It's an open and shut case.

Just seen on Twitter: Cameron Morally Bancroft.

Yeah, Graham Smith just mentioned the fact that Smith threw the ball mostly to Bancroft to shine.

On the positive side, that Cummins ball rearing up towards Faf bodes well for the 4th innings.
