In enterprise IT the focus has been on automation for a while now.
It doesnt always work out as intended and more often than not results in a lot of wasted effort.

Its really a case of picking those battles carefully until the tools mature enough. I do see it affecting a lot of the lower tier jobs though in the near future.

we need robots to protect the other robots.

And when we came to turn off our robot overlords we tried to scorch the sky.
