AutoPage Plumstead - HORRIBLE SERVICE.

I on the 20th of August went to Autopage plumstead (my closest branch) and requested a simswap as my phone had been stolen and I needed my old number (this is a contract number) and was given an alternative sim and told activation would be 2-24 hrs and to be patient and it would be done in that alloted period. This I didnt mind doing. I waited.

Come August 22nd and still no activation (when i switch phone on with that mtn sim it says simcard failed to register or some such.) Hence I proceeded to phone them after many engaged signals I finally get through only to be told the lady I need to speak to is unavailable they take my number and promise to call.

Aug 24th still no call, voicemail msg etc, NOTHING. I phone again leave a msg and once again takes forever to get through as phone is almost always engaged.

Aug 25th no phonecall so I email them, no reply...

Aug 27th - Cant get through to them by phone its permenantly engaged.

HOW bloody long must it take for a simswap when im a bloody contract subscriber through you, hellopeter here I come.

That is terrible service.

I got my sim swapped and the new sim was activated and working within 2 hours. This was done through vodashop.

They even explained how to get the phone blacklisted and provided me with the necessary documents that the police would eventually required.

Yeah, post it on hellopeter.

Oh gosh, not good!!!

I recently waited almost a week to have my APC SIM reactivated... was told it would take up to 24 hours. Called their contact centre multiple times and asked for somebody to explain why the process was so slow... no response.

APC are completely hopeless - I can't wait for my contracts to expire.

they suck....useless......Nashua mobile arnt far behind them though.

More Inept Service.

So I finally get through to APC Plumstead and they say oh we had a call from head office about that Sim but they lady I have to speak to isnt there at that time so they will take a message and call me back, told them ive left 2 messages an email and a complaint and still had no reply, they put her on the line - she was in the shop - and she claims she will have a reply in 30 mins from head office.

The joys of absolute poor service in this country, I work for an offshore bank and if I didnt call the customer back or answer the phone within 10 seconds I would get a warning and they would contemplate firing me. This poor service level is not on, vodacom do a simswap in 1-2 hrs, why cant you ACP?

So after numerous complaints/phonecalls/waste of my life

So after numerous attempts to get this done I finally get the Plumstead branch manager to call me and say she is resolving this with head office. They will once again get back to me. Lets wait and see, im not very hopeful.

Apc

APC called me and told me they would have sim active this afternoon and for me to test it and they would call me to see the result.

They called me and I had not had time to test the sim, lady will call back.

Just test sim, still not active - a full 8 days later - numerous phonecalls,emails,forum posts,hellopeter etc. Lady will call me back to check status of sim.
