Has anyone else been having very slow axxess fiber internet. Got a 100mb line and since 18:00 been getting local download of 1mb per/sec.

this is not the first time this issue.

also seems that the line will randomly just drop for no apparent reason and then come back up.

Getting so tired of axxess because all they do is tell you to rest your router and then reset your line but never solve the under line issue.

Thin I might have to go back to crystal web.

Don't even bother logging a call, logged one last night and still no feedback. Looks like Axxess really does not want our business anymore.
Will start getting quotes to move over to another ISP

I am experiencing over 1000ms on my WAN connections from different service providers so I am thinking it might be because increased congestion because of the seacom break or there is another issue contributing to the high latency stats im seeing.

Where are you based? I noticed last night there was something strange going on. I'm on a Teamspeak hosted in JHB and was also high ping at one time but then it dropped from 150ms to 27ms. I also go on a Teamspeak hosted in CPT and that one was giving me 150-300ms ping still making me believe that it was the JHB internet exchange that was giving me issues. Even international sites was slow or not loading. I play a game online that's hosted overseas where I usually get 200-250ms ping I got over 300ms ping but some of my friends that's not on axxess ADSL had the same issue as me so looks like it's not 100% axxess issue maybe a fault at Terrico datacentre

Right now I'm having latency issues when doping a traceroute it's coming from the device with ip and name

jhb-up7.ip.adsl.co.za [169.1.5.6]

I also did a few pings and my latency is 100+ to that device. If axxess doesn't show any interest to help then it's time to move towards another ISP.

Same story! High latency and slow downloads. Upload is fine.

JHB
100mb fiber through Openserve
2TB capped account.

Spent the better part of an hour on the phone with Axxess last night. No resolution.
Was fine this morning, and went to hell again by evening.

Line is fine as Telkom guest account runs at full speed on SAIX tests.

This in not an openserve issue, same here perfect up and down

But Axxess is the problem

High latancy at 8.30.14 PM.jpg

But then you do the guest account on openserve and it runs like a dream

my ticket is open at axxess and just keep uploading and uploading poor network stats. So when I call tomorrow to cancel and they want to charge me for the fiber install I can turn around and show then that there service is crap and so is there support

So waking up this morning and getting an email from Axxess support at 1 in the mornig after sending all the screen shots and trace routes this is the pathetic one support
Good day;

We'd like you to test your connection with the Telkom guest account. You'll need to log onto your router and change your ADSL username and password to the following:
Username: guest@openserve
Password:guest

and than go to www.saix.net to perform a speed test that you will need to take a screen shot of the test and send it to us. Make sure to open www.saix.net on "internet explorer"

Regards.

The support manager is going to get it this morning

It is like ****ing automated responses. You send them the test results, then they ask you to test and send results.

The only test that shows that everything is OK is the one on Axxess's own site. Shows I get 12mbps on my 10mbps line, when all other tests show 1mbps.

Where the hell is this Axxess Lady?

Screw the access lady, I am going to give it to the support manager, Sorry but I am not a typical end user, From the trace I sent you can clearly see it is a issue on there network. So I am tired of these 1st level support chimps and want an answer from there management

Can't believe we have 0 response regarding this issue. I want to know what is going on but the amount of response from AXXESS just shows how much they care about us. It's not only 1 complaining but many
