Axxess Throttling Steam Downloads

Every day I get heavy top swak throttled by Axxess,

My other internet services like YouTube and Netflix work decently.

My latency more than triples on SA servers from 30ms to 180ms with packet loss of about 5-10%.

Steam downloads are honestly a waste of time.

I have a 8Mbps Premium Uncapped account (R800pm). And unfortunately between the hours of 7pm and 10pm every day I have to resort to using a Capped Unshaped service that is offered by Axxess.

Currently living in Southern Suburbs, Cape Town. I guess I just have to suffer in silence until I move somewhere that has fiber.

Having the same issue with my WISP going through Axxess VPN that i use for my work dies at 8pm and so does torrents etc..its complete bullsh*t Axxess = Worse then Telkom

AH = Axxess = same network = same problems.

Save yourself serious aggravation and frustration; just move to a proper ISP like CrystalWeb.

Yeah Fibre same issue save yourself the headache rather go with CrystalWeb or Cool Ideas if you have an open network as far as i know they don't throttle

This is what I don't understand, why would they throttle steam downloads if the server is in Cape Town. I will say however that Axxess has great customer service compared to other ISPs that I have had dealings with, they said that the exchange where I live needs to be upgraded to handle all the people that recently got internet here.

I am on Axxess premium DSL, waiting for fiber. On the whole, I can not complain. Techies on their side sometimes think you are stupid, but they do tend to come back with answers and solutions.
