Hi All

Please would someone help me with this... I am trying to change my tapes media set as everytime I wipe a tape clean and then add it to Scratch media... the tape runs one job and then immeditately adds itself to Keep Data infinitely - do not allow overwrite... how do I stop it from doing that as I go into tools and I look at the option Device and Media options and the only media set i can choose is Keep data infinitely - do not allow overwrite... Please may someone help me with this as im new to this backup exec...

all i wanna do is be able to run my daily backups with 5 jobs and let the tape eject when it has completed all 5 jobs.

Hi There

I know this is and old post but for if you hav enot found an answer. Have you had a look at the jobs. Normaly you set up the overwrite settings in the job. Also check that no one set scrap media to be utilized by a job(dont know if this is possible though).

I am no expert though just a thought.
