I'm in a similar boat, and similar budget for now as I've spent who knows how much on home repairs and alterations and am sitting with a few 720W Mecers..

I've tried online power calculators but i'm worried they might not be correct.

Could someone here in the know perhaps comment on what the +/- load would be of the following:
1 x 65" TV, 3 x 42" TVs, 2 x Decoders, 2 x AppleTV, 3 x Wifi Routers, 1x 8-channel CCTV + 8 cameras, 1 x DSC alarm panel/controller, 3 x DSC wireless repeaters, 3 x 22" LED screens, 2 x Laptops, 1 x NUC, 1x Electric fence Energizer, 20 x 5W LEDs.

I'm still stuck between:
1. Getting an electrician to re-wire the 3-phase DB board so lights+plugs are on their own circuit that 1 phase inverter could power OR
2. Getting an electrician to run a separate circuit throughout the house (RED power) coming back to an inverter.
You have a lot of LED TV's.They not so light on juice as what they say they are.

They are, in fact mine says 150W but consumes around 110 to 115W, could also be the settings affecting the draw.

But it does add up.

Actually I can get my 65" down to under 100w by setting the backlight to eco mode, setting it to high will result in it being 150w+ but during load shedding I put it at eco and with my soundbar and a router I'm sitting at 150w.
My 58" in the room with a mistick can be as low as 100w as well.
Throw on my Series X + the soundbar in atmos mode and then I'm hitting almost 500w

Can someone help me with math.

My base load at night (everyone sleeping) is about 650w. If I turn off the outside lights I can get down to about 540w. All lights already LED, etc

So assuming a base load of say 800w and my need to run off battery for 10 hours during the night, how many Hubble AM2 would I require?

Assume Hubble AM2s will be fully charged by solar / grid by evening.

During day, I expect solar to run geysers for 2 hours each. Have smart home automation already managing geyser and pool pump runtimes so those will never turn on at night.
Two should see you through.

@OP:

No idea about the supplier but that product looks good - it's a sunsynk product.

Not sure if anyone has tested the AC/DC led tubes because I get a different watt reading to what it says on the tube.

I hate it when they conveniently forgot crucial information, like the size of the battery, just makes the whole thing look scammy.

@PhireSide You more than welcome me to pm me to assist with some pricing but all in all, leaving out Solar and just mainly back up would set you back around 38k to 45k with all the other miscellaneous items db pre cables and so on. I can have that setup for you so that all you would need to do is follow the labels and instructions so it’s basically a few connections and switch on but I would always recommend getting a sparky if something needs to be done DB side

Thanks, it looks like a good standalone solution but honestly not something to consider if expansion is what you have in mind, I can already see replacing the replacement of batteries being an issue.
I believe in axpert inverters had mine since 2013 and not one problem with them.

I think the fact that they have not kept up does count against them, my brother has one, it's bulletproof but monitoring Isa problem without wifi.

I understand what you mean but we must be carefull with statement like these
Power use like that can easily be broken if no care is taken
Geyser pulls 2-3kW
Kettles also 2-3kW
Oven also 2-3kW
Stove tops average 1kW each
Microwaves 1.5kW

So if someone does not take those into account then they could easily get issues
But Geysers and stoves are not connected to the inverter?!
