oh man, i'm loving this :D $izwe leaves, and his partners in crime start following. now it's blatantly obvious that $izwe and his top-level staff were all in it for the money. and i think the new ceo's statement that anybody not willing to work with him should leave - said like a true boss should say it. let's hope his intentions are good...

Good, the more top management that leave the better...

Just think - $izwe, Pinky, and Vapi, all gone, christmas has come early! Go Molotsane! I think Duncan got it wrong when he said Telkom doesnt need this with competition just round the corner. I think this is just what Telkom does need - getting rid of those narrow minded monopoly thinkers and getting in some fresh blood (hopefully not just promoting from the bowl of Telkom soup  ).

I think he told them: "Ok guys, funs over, let them play too..."

And the whole of Telkom was up in arms.

Thx again to Duncan for a great report.

Analysts suggest Moholi may want to negotiate her exit in return for a large severance package. They say it is unlikely she will stay at the company. There are suggestions she may resign, depending on the outcome of Tuesday's board meeting.
Last time I checked, when you resign or leave a company of your own free will, there is NO severance package. Pinky you silly lady, just write the letter, go and leave the money behind.

Vapi QUIT!!!! HAHAHAHAHA, beautiful.
Lulu is a nasty piece of work, one of the 'ELITE' and always part of the usual group of suspects that benefit from government decisions. Enrich the few and all that.

I also have to question how much of this 'unhappiness' is actually as a result of the new CEO and structure, I think that’s just the smoke screen although I may well be wrong.
I reckon it’s more a result of the 'Telkom Gravy Train' nearing the end of the line. The pressures on Telkom from all sides must have an effect on these bigwigs, and as most of them are clearly incompetent the only thing left to do is bail out. No point in hanging around either if you have to actually WORK to earn your millions.
Watch all the usual suspects move along to another more lucrative venture again in token positions. If some of them start showing up at the SNO then we've got serious problems.

Good news, lets hope it takes them longer than 6 months to recover from the disruptions.

Telkom has also lost its chief spin-doctor, senior media relations specialist Xolisa Vapi, who quit last week.

WHAT?!

Hmmm how did I not hear about that one :D

So far I already think the new CEO is doing Telkom good... lets hope they get a new "media relations specialist" who has a clue. Vapi a media relations specialist... lol. Somehow I'm reminded of the Iraqi information and propaganda minister or whoever he was.

"Vapi could not be reached for comment."

Now that's a first :)

RSD - "Somehow I'm reminded of the Iraqi information and propaganda minister "

Does anyone know anymore about this new CEO? Judging from the very negative response from the previous fat cats he may be a "new broom". The question is, is he a pro or anti-consumer "new broom"? The fact that he wants to meet MYADSL bodes well but I'm sure our resident journos (hint-hint) could find out more for us...
