Is this mostly a Cape Town thing or are most members from Cape Town?

I haven't lived here for that long but noticed people don't give a **** about being considerate. I think it is due to parking being rare in CPT, so most people develop a selfish attitude.

I would personally say it's a bit of both.

Wrt rare parking it's mostly CBD-only though.

The general driving attitude is poor in the Cape.

I haven't driven in other parts of the country, but I can tell you in the Winelands and Helderberg region people parks really badly. I nowadays just park at the furthest end of the parking lot if possible and rather walk the extra distance, rather then risk my car being dented or scratched by morons.

Bad parking is a regular occurance in most places.
And parking far away from the entrance is a double edged sword.

I normally do that.

BUT and the one centre I have come to notice the unfortunate events of people being butts there too.

Why do you say that?

Park in the far corner.
Come back to car when done at the shops.
Invariably someone has parked next to you like a #@+?#@!!
Or you spot a fresh sport of paint on your car same colour as the one next to your car.

So it does not really matter where you park, the bad parkers will find you.

I usually park far away so I can get out easily (as in get in my car and drive away), especially in parking garages. Fcken idiots circling in the parking area, waiting for that spot by the entrance to become available

I've been lucky up to now, with my previous car I had lots of marks. My current car has none. If I get one this weekend I will be blaming you by the way. Last year I said I haven't received a speeding fine in close to 3 years, then I received three in succession.
