What really is the point of a smart car? To tell yourself your a woman or to tell the world you don't respect yourself as a man?

This I get. I got so many dings in my S2000 doors from inconsiderate prats.

I once had some old bat (est. 70s) make a moerse dent with her Golf door, only to tell me it's only a car, and I should calm the **** down.

That's when I would get her details and present her with the moerse repair bill for said vehicle.

Yes I drive a clapped out old Mazda DC, that I can dent and scratch as I see fit.. it does not give someone else the right to do so, or just tell me to calm down if they do and I catch them.

Exactly, her dent would have cost about 20k... I gave up, it was in the worst position possible, but how do you argue with an old bat?

At R20k.. I would have demanded her details... and then started the insurance process so she can deal with it.

To scared :p and at that stage I didn't see where her car doors bottom corner hit, it was a welded point.

Eina.. :(

Over the years I've become somewhat hard about stuff like this... Even if its just a small paint scratch and I saw the person doing it... I would get their details these days...

Someone did it to my car about a decade ago at a shopping centre... I saw it happen but just though "aggg its a small paint scratch at most I can touch it up and all will be good".. until I got home and saw that the fender had been buckled ON the wheel arch.. whole new fender needed... ever since then i told myself, anything that i see happening to my car will mean I get details of the person and my insurance can deal with it.

The Merc was parked there first, but the stupid clio driver could have parked straight. Both are stupid idiots.
