This argument is analogous to that around witchcraft in the Middle Ages. The more you look, the more 'evidence' you will find supporting your viewpoint. The more an opponent denies it, the more 'proof' of your theory. Sheer madness...

I do think that a cop, searching my bag for cigarettes and everyone else's in a road block, coming too close and personal without mask , or clean hands, increases the chances to spread germs.

Both alcohol and cigarettes are still not illegal substances in SA , so the cops shouldn't be searching everyone for them, which will greatly lower contact.

DURBAN - The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) said government must only consider allowing the sale of alcohol and cigarettes at levels two and one of the national lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19

Dudes must have an impressive stash hidden away
Old Mango Buthelezi would never have let this be said.

I hope the government can see that all it is doing, is creating a black market and releasing the hilly billy moonshine market.

All the government has achieved is create misery for your average duck and lose wealth by this lockdown on booze and tobacco.

Yeah, the government could also be collecting a lot more tax and have less unemployed if they legalized other drugs like cocaine, heroin, etc. They are losing a lot to those black markets. Also wonder what the outcry would have been if cocaine was legal and then they banned it like idiots.

The police is already collecting taxes there.Government turned 80% of the population , criminal. That are law abiding people, until recently. You are not very bright today.

Booze and Ciggy companies should just all file 189's with the intent to slash 60% of their workforce. Cut their losses.
Let the unions argue the case with the government, they don't listen to mere mortals unless you are part of the cabal.

One costs R 10 and the other R 5.

Under current regulations both are illegal to sell but not to posses.

Both are freely available on the streets.

One's prices remained the same while the other skyrocketed by up to 100%.

One is natural with no added chemicals while the other is full of unregulated crap.

One will lasts approx 3 times longer than the other if consumed sparingly.

Both can be used in a zol as so elegantly demonstrated by our new master.

Yet only one will get you arrested and most probably assaulted as well.

Anyone like to venture a guess?

And I am officially out of smokes. All I am getting in Randfontein now is excuses on not being able to get stock.

Guess I'll have to pause till I can buy cigarettes again.

I've swapped cig brands 3 times in the last week. It all depends on what's available.

I gave away half my stash when Emperor Rama said we could buy again.
Regret.

Researchers find traces of coronavirus in semen: What this means for Covid-19 and sexual transmission

So if you believe the government's reasons for the ban on tabacco products does this mean no more nookie.

And how are they going to police it.
