If we do go into a level 3 lite or level 2 it will mostly likely be "in the near future, Ministers will make announcements" or " by the end of August, Ministers will make announcements"

I have never heard something so stupid from a "Doctor", she still doesnt get it, if people want to kill themselves thats fine, who the hell is she to choose? ... I think ministers need to all have crash course on what been a Minister is all about, she thinks we all her children. Utterly foolish.... She most likely thinks she was a point, makes me wonder why the judges cant see something so obvious.

Very much doubt its true..

Unless the government is getting signals that the smoke ban is about to get a beatdown from the BATSA judgement.
One of the comments under the tweet sums it up:

Ahhh, the ANC are giving us these basic rights back just to distract from their looting. Don’t be fooled by this tactic, keep the #voetsekANC momentum going!

I suspect alcohol and ciggies will be unbanned at different times. Government appears more open to lifting the ban on alcohol than cigarettes I think (as proved by the fact that they did actually allow alcohol sales for a bit, unlike cigarettes).

Like her ex-husband, arrogant and deluded enough to think that we are the only country doing it properly, or else the only country in the world where government can do whatever the hell they like and people will still vote for them..:(

Doubt she is arrogant or deluded for the second part. Let's face it they have been doing what they want and still getting voted in

Restaurants urged to comply with booze ban

Cape Town – The Restaurant Association of SA (Rasa) said it has been inundated with reports through social media of the illegal sale of alcohol at restaurants.

Rasa chief executive Wendy Alberts said the alleged incidents only served to hamper their efforts in trying to convince the government to lift the ban on the sale of alcohol.

“We are encouraging restaurants to stay compliant. We understand the economic impact the regulations have had on the industry but restaurants cannot break the law.

Sure they can.

oh BS, if anything the blatant disregard for the government will get them to concede faster, just ask the minibus taxi industry ...
I wonder what "their efforts" are and how much cash accompanies them. Obviously it's not enough.

Several places in PE were raided over the weekend. Seems like it's the new cost of doing business.
