No mention of cigarettes, unless I missed it for looking.

Still, this is crapola. They've clean forgotten about the Rona.

Reading between the lines, it seems that some people in the government [we know who] hope the ban on cigarettes will remain indefinitely. This is likely to fail in court very soon, since the grounds are even weaker than alcohol, which seems to be allowed at Level 3.

See: https://www.moneyweb.co.za/news/companies-and-deals/batsa-questions-indefinite-tobacco-ban/

I can't believe how big of an issue this is. I have not had a drop of alcohol during lockdown and guess what I am alive! It's a miracle humans don't die without alcohol and cigarettes. The people living in this country need to get their acts together and quit drinking so much.
Totally agree boet

Your virtue signalling is noted, you are also now both on my ignore list. What a handy feature that is...

You won't be able to buy at level 3 or 2 or 1... and if we do get to 1, the commie parasites will try keep us there indefinitely, they'll hold on to some virus boogie man threat at the gate as long as possible just to swing their dicks and dictate what chicken you can/can't buy, roasted, frozen etc(just wondering, why the fark is cele so obsessed with chicken:unsure:)

There is this dude that sent me a PM on FB, asking for my force number when I did my army time. He wants to get a "squad" together. Just ignored him, replied though and asked WTF is this about. Ignored.

Communist countries always kept the masses 'happy' with cheap booze and cigarettes. ANC is beyond communism,
they are going for full totalitarianism. I don't drink , but I will never chose to live in a country with prohibition laws.

But now we can't even escape this - no money, no air travel. :(

I fully expect some government minister to just "mention" the idea of public floggings on twitter. Just to start getting us used to the idea that it is on the table, and may be implemented in about 3 months. But slowly and compassionately, like the loving arms of care that they are.
And of course, this would be totally for our own good.

How quickly the world went from somewhat normal to crazy. I still see loads of people wandering around without masks so unless they start taking it really seriously this is just going to go on.

I think this running and jogging stuff is also ridiculous. Time that it is banned for good.

Oh, and fast food as well. Definitely not healthy and the people needs to be disciplined because they can't think for themselves.

Firstly, I don't believe a single word they say, just to get that out there.
Secondly, they seem to be hellbent on concentrating people and contact points by restricting the excercise bit for example, and if you look at the booze sale times as well.

I can only imagine what a Makro liquor outlet will look like Monday to Wednesday in the mornings.
Wait for it, I'd wager 6 cyber bottles of scotch they will limit what you can buy as well.

Is it really? Check the replies on this tweet and you'll be surprised how many believe this idiot and NDZ are fighting WMC with these bans on smokes and alcohol.
Fact is that the cigarette and alcohol trade is still 100% in the townships.

People are getting fed up with this micro management. No working person can buy booze during the week in those time slots, whose boss is going to allow that?

This is why it's useful to have 4 bottle stores that aren't big chains nearby... Can guarantee that they won't be crammed after the first day...

That is largely the point... "Look you can buy booze, oh you have a job and can't... Well that's just sad, be thankful you have a job."

Yup. With the click of their fingers they can take it all away if the serfs don't "behave". Or they may just change their minds at the 11th hour (for our good of course).

Why is cooked food still prohibited at level 3? I mean did they really just knuckle down.
