And what was their sample group? Did they ask 10 of their colleagues to fill in a questionnaire?

All these so called "studies" that they're doing is horse shite same as the so called "86% of South Africans support the lockdown" BS

It's the same sample group that was used when that other wanker declared that South Africans love SAA.

I can't see many restaurants surving this even with food deliveries.
I saw quite a few shut down as soon as the lockdown happened. I think that what they have done is just close up and save us much money as possible and then start a "new" restaurant as soon as the lockdown allows.

Its brutal in terms of employees and rent but its a survivalist tactic.

Looks like he's been instructed by NDZ to clear the air...

This bit intrigues me
At this stage in the progress of the pandemic, other countries had far more infections than we do. As of now – which is 46 days since we recorded our 100th coronavirus case – we have 6 783 confirmed cases. Italy, which has a similar size population to ours, had more than 140 000 cases and the United States had around 700 000 confirmed cases at the 46-day mark.

So just how much testing has been done in SA?

If you want to compare numbers with Italy as you have done, then you would need to at least be in the same ballpark for testing surely?

From Wiki
As of 3 May 2020, Italy is one of the world's centres of active coronavirus cases with 100,179 active cases.[17] The total of confirmed cases is 210,717 with 28,884 deaths, and 81,654 recoveries or dismissals.[2] By 3 May, Italy had conducted about 2,153,800 tests for the virus, and tested about 1,456,900 people.[18] Due to the limited number of tests performed, the real number of infected people in Italy, as in other countries, is estimated to be higher than the official count.[19][20][21] On 19 March, Italy became the country with the highest number of confirmed coronavirus deaths in the world; however, on 11 April, it was overtaken by the United States.[22][23]

So swabbed 1,7m and tested 1,2m people.
Are we there yet? If we are and have only 6783 infections I doff my cap Mr President.

The US, from what I can find has performed over 7 million tests to date and are currently conducting over 200 000 new tests per day.

So with the info I can find on the net, tests/people

US 1:43
Italy 1:35
SA 1:300 (27/4 number)

By 27 April, the 185497 tests had been performed on South African residents, with the the public sector now doing the majority of the tests. Provincial test coverage varied by over a factor of 8. The number of tests per 100000 residents (based on 2019 population estimates) was Northwest 66, Limpopo 69, Mpumalanga 101, Northern Cape 111, Eastern Cape 247, KwaZulu-Natal 270, Free State 284, Gauteng 439, and Western Cape 541 (national average 317). A surveillance programme had been started to monitor community transmission (as opposed to tests done on people who displayed symptoms or who had been in contact with COVID-19 patients). In the three arms of the programme 812 tests had been done and two cases had been detected.[11]

These numbers are of course a moving target each day but I don't see how we can be compared to Italy or anyone else frankly. I would hold off on the self back patting for now.

The ANC and their fringe loons probably see this as a class/race war. As if the poor aren't already buying the illicit brands as they've been doing even before the lockdown because that's all they can afford.

I think you missed this part, it gives context to what he is saying.
