FFS please quote the wording where I said sweets cause obesity. Or even mentioned diabetes.

But the effects of obesity on the human body is well documented as is the contribution of refined sugars.

This was even acknowledged by the looting locusts in government when they instituted the "sugar tax".

Another way this could have gone is that BAT had evidence that would incriminate certain people and once that gets into a court of law there's no going back so certain individuals quickly promised to undo the ban. I guess we shall find out soon by what the response is tomorrow.

I can't believe how big of an issue this is. I have not had a drop of alcohol during lockdown and guess what I am alive! It's a miracle humans don't die without alcohol and cigarettes. The people living in this country need to get their acts together and quit drinking so much.

You are missing the point......we are being dictated to. I miss my wine but not essential but I like to chose when I want a drink.

Covid 19 has got absolutely nothing to do with people getting drunk, road accidents etc. Therefore we should be allowed tobacco ( because black market BIG) and alcohol. We are the ONLY country in the World to ban these items. If I want a glass of wine I should be allowed to have one. Dictatorship, telling us we are “naughty” doesn’t go down well with me.

Actually lately they're made from non-nutritive sweetners, also you're aware there are 2 types right? And even type 2 it's skeptical that sugar causes diabetes. If sugar is causing you to put on weight than it's a possible cause, but carbohydrates and other things can also make you put on weight. So next up ban bread, pap and anything with carbs, people will bant.

queues up to kilometer long and people partying in the streets.
