Yes. The Lesotho and Swaziland seceding from SA bit pretty much wins the day. You and your argument are retarded. At least nail down the actual facts underlying whatever it is you want to say.
Hang-on, I'm not answerable to you. Read the title of the thread. You don't get to order me around.

If you don't agree and for some reason don't want to share your thoughts... fine, just hit Ignore.

Nah, its more fun to point out when you're being stupid.... it provides us entertainment. Deal with it.

My point?

Dude, you are getting basic facts wrong. I don't need to have a point when you are strutting around like a peacock throwing bullshyte "facts" around to prove some stupid point of yours.
The fact is secession is a real phenomenon.

I never invented secession, don't shoot the messenger. Calm down or hit Ignore.

Much better attitude.

@ToxicBunny
Edit: In hind sight, I take this comment back. If you aren't prepared to put your view to the sword, and instead are here to carp and hurl personal insults, then you haven't yet got that the essence of an online forum is the constructive exchange of ideas and information.

The fact you refuse to use the Ignore feature AND you admit you aren't prepared to engage in a constructive critique, including laying out your view for others to critique, suggests an ulterior motive. You've obviously made a home on this forum(with that tally of posts) but what does that mean if it comes at the expense of constructive dialogue? I mean come on. This whole exercise of exchange of ideas is ultimately a win-win. But you have to play the ball and not the man, in order to get there. You may not believe that is possible, but if so, put out your reasons in a separate thread, and let's have a conversation about that.

Says here:

"In 1910, following the British Empire's defeat of the Afrikaners in the Boer Wars, four self-governing colonies in the south of Africa were merged into the Union of South Africa. The four regions were the Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Natal and Transvaal. Three other territories, High Commission Territories of Bechuanaland (now Botswana), Basutoland (now Lesotho) and Swaziland later became independent states in the 1960s."

Says what specifically there if you wouldn't mind unpacking it?

I want to see if you've progressed to acceptable language comprehension skills.

Clearly, it says they became independent states. So they must have seceded.

I suspect there is some error I have made which you are alluding to which proves something I said wrong.

So, have your moment of glory.

It can't be the dates because I said I didn't know..

Is it because the secession was from a different country or the borders didn't technically change? Let me guess both?

Pff.. it's like playing a game with a 5 year-old.

Do you have something productive to add to the conversation, or not?

Actually playing a game with a 5 yr old may be more productive for the rest of us.

There isn't a conversation to add to little one.

Your argument is based on major flaws:
Your misunderstanding of the ban (it's only on sales and transport of tobacco, not consumption - if you got it, smoke it up)
Your misunderstanding of freedom (forgivable as it's a humdinger we're all fed from childhood. The concept of "freedom" is a strong seller, for everything from political parties to panty liners)

If you are not free to trade, you personally are not free.
That's quite a leap of logic. Would you agree or disagree that it's a good idea to have everything for sale as anyone wants? You know how slippery this slope is? Let's see, how about explosives? Should TNT be available to all citizens? If I can make it and can't trade it, I'm no longer free? I can drive, I can ****, I can run, but not free if I can't sell my potentially human-vaporizing product. How about child porn? Well that turned downright oily. If I have a kid and want to film it naked, and share with some friends online, perhaps trade pics for theirs, shouldn't I be able to, if I am free, according to you?

So hopefully you are seeing that there is a necessity to restrict trade right out the gates. You were never free to purchase anything you wanted in the first place, not legally at least.

That is a threat against you - i.e. your body. What do you think will happen to you if you trade what belongs to you?
That's another Olympic-level leap of logic. Is it a threat against you that nobody is able to buy dynamite at Checkers?

There is a subtle distinction between a person's body and other property he acquires, using/via his body i.e. interacting with others.
Are children property of the parents?
