bandwidth monitoring

After searching the forums, it seems as though a lot of people use DU Meter to monitor their bandwidth, so I thought I'd give it a bash. Unfortunately it seems there is now way to specify whether to monitor network traffic versus internet traffic (I'm connected to the intenet via our lan). Can anyone suggest any other tools (preferably free) that could do this?

mrtg for win32 (takes a bit of configuring) but you could tell it to look at specific interfaces etc etc

For latency analysis look at smokeping - based on rrdtool (alternative mrtg backend) - but this may not be available under win32

Took a look at it but it seems like it's going to take too much time to get up and running. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Give this a try, i prefer it over DU meter since you can choose which adapters you want to monitor plus alert you via email or popup if you have exceeded a specified bandwidth limit(useful to keep track of daily ADSL usage)

http://www.bandwidthmonitorpro.com

Although you will have to buy it or crack it(try http://www.freeline.ws) if you like it!

Hope this helps

Thanks Xinetd, I'll try it out but I definitely won't be cracking it. If it's sufficient and cheap enough I'll get the company I work for to buy me a copy.

Tried out bandwidth monitor pro. Basically the same as DU Meter, doesn't seem to differentiate very well between internet usage and lan usage. Gonna try out the netinternals one next. Thanks Andre.
