Seems like that's it for tonight.

More in the future once they have read the complete document.

Was Keino unprepared AGAIN? His show seems to be all organized on the fly since he came back.

Seems he was more interested in what the bank didn't want us to see than how the document was made available.

I would have liked to hear John Maytham take them apart.

btw, mybroadband was not mentioned by name on the show, but they do seem to be after whoever posted whatever instructions here...

I must admit, it is a bit of an accolade that said perpetrator chose mybroadband as his/her consumer champion site of choice. Kieno registered on mybroadband not so long ago so I'm sure he could get some valuable contributions if he wanted to engage with us on this topic...

And I wonder what that will help. Those instructions are not the ones that caused it to be "leaked" to the public in the first place.

So they're going after the Mybroadband member who wrote details on how to decode the doc. Who was it?

The man on the moon :p - you got a PM about this already in any case.

New article. No mention of poor protection of document. Maybe we should release a article explaining the facts of how the document was poorly protected?
Great idea.
A MyBroadband article explaining that the steps required to remove the very poor attempt at censorship of this document by the CC would be most welcome in the mainstream media to counter this nonsense regarding 'hacking'. The documents were freely available on the CC site from my understanding. Nothing was stolen, nobody broke in or hacked into anything to get them.
Not necessary to explain the steps in point form, just highlight the simplicity of it.

Would anyone trust the CC with any information after this poor showing by them of protection of 'sensitive information'.

They really needed to go a step further and make the report shorter.. i am still waiting to see what happens when people finally finish with the leaked report and start going after banks. I mean with all the press about it, i cant understand why there isn't much news about shocking prices charged compared to what it actually costs them.. granted people are getting back to work now.

The argument, as everyone has pointed out, still remains.

The original document from the CC's website was readacted, but not secure.
The fault - lies with the CC, they made it possible for the report to be read in it's entirety.

As for the 702 and 567 radio broadcasts.
I wasn't near a PC or radio last night

Do these sites have podcasts up of the broadcasts?
Did anyone perhaps record it digitally?

or via audio as its blind to the [-]very secure, encrypted and unreachable document[/-] parts that was highlighted.

A look at the 702/567 sites show that they do have podcasts available for download of certain interviews and shows, but not finding anything for the CC interview that was aired.

A better article, but just to clear up one point: We will not release member info without a court order. The court will therefore assess the validity of the request, not us. This has never happened in the past. WE have had many direct requests, but the process to get the court order seems to stop most guys…

@rpm
Will member information for only the relevant post in a thread be released, or everybody that have posted in the offending thread? (Should it come to that)

I would assume only for the post in question... but it depends on what the court order says. I doubt that any judge though would give permission for an entire group of people to have their privacy invaded. Relax, uncle rpm will let the MyBroadband lawyers look at it first. They will do what is in the best interest of the members here. :)
