FNB Fee saver need 9k in the account at all times during the month. This also comes in handy if you suddenly have a big emergency, use the 9k and pay the fees for that month.

Are you on fee saver? Just need a minimal amount in account and you don't get charged monthly fee, also don't use ATMs.
Do not use another banks ATM's, even on the fee saver you will be charged.

Well then switch to fee saver at FNB, closest you'll get to paying no fees.
Not really true, you still need to take into account the amount of interest that you would have earned on that 9k if you invested it.
5% interest rate and it works out to about R37 per month.

I'm not sure if there's any interest on the account though
No interest on this, you can actually look on your online profile under account->detailed balance, the interest rate is there.

Fixed ATM fees, R1 to withdraw at PnP and others etc......

The guy that ones the local 24/7 has one of those no name ATMs in his shop and he mentioned that capitec is free on those atms, he was disgusted at his one banking fees.
