Base-station backup power?

Anyone knows how long the base stations can operate without power from the grid?

If these power interruptions continue to increase in length, there will obviously come a point in time when the cellular networks will go down as well.

For 4 days the base station in bedfordview was up while the whole city power was down

The base station all run from -48VDC depending on the size of the battery bank, they will run from 4 - 96 hours on a charge. Yet as any battery power device it is all depending on the load.

I've seen an MTN base station in Paradyskloof Stellenbosch during the previous round of load shedding using a generator.
