Battery Usage Drain

Greetings

My boss and I have a smartphone each, during the day at the office, the battery usage drops significantly, and need to charge nightly for the next day, yet and home over weekends, my boss has less battery drain on the same usage patterns, and I can go for 2 days between charges over weekends with almost the same usage patterns as during the week at the office.

Question is, what can cause a higher battery drain at the office than at home? I don't know if I am asking Google the right questions as I am not finding a suitable answer. Reception maybe?

Regards

Poor reception inside buildings ----- leads to increased power usage just to maintain connectivity with the nearest cell site.

WiFi is used at the office and at home, so can rule that one out. I am thinking what daniellgr says about poor reception. Boss is using a Galaxy A3 and I am using a Galaxy A7. Can the reception be improved inside the building?

Yes. used to be possible to negotiate with a cell service provider for the installation of a nano cell inside a building. Have not tackled this for a long time so have no new experience to share. ( Vodacom was the okes I approached at that time.)
