Battle for good broadband with new Roodepoort FTTH project

Will go take a look live in the area and he's right DSL is hardly here. Mainly because most people are like why do I need DSL over 3g etc also mainly because they have to wait for ages to get installed

Let me tell the residents of Little Falls, Stubens Valley & Wilgeheuwel a big secret. These three suburbs are mostly covered by Neotel's Fixed line LTE service, called NeoBroadband Wireless. If you are a fairly heavy user and looking for uncapped service with generous FUP (100G per Mbit of speed), you already have a choice. I have the 4 Mbps version now, and even on 2 Mbps, Netflix works properly. Internet isn't always about speed, but about how consistent your throughput and pings are (even for Gamers).

You mean the 4Mbps for R1000 pm and a 24 month contract? Not exactly something I'd want to jump into.

With 20:1 contention? No Thanks.

Funny how when someone's "project" gets posted on the mybb blog it gets a lot of attention. Yet the rest of us have to clunk along with our projects.

Hi guys, I stay in the Weltevreden Park area and I'm fed up with Telkom and the current services available. I also thought of looking at Bitco as a solution but looks like they have problems of their own so now I'm really not sure. Out of interest checked out the FTTH counsel website to see where the Fiber lines run. Well was I not surprised to see that a line was running straight past my house. I'm not really sure what the line is for though... is there anyone that perhaps does know?

Sorry, I should perhaps have mentioned that the line runs on Jim Fouche Rd.

There are fibre cables installed all over Little Falls, including on my street, but no one has made the service available yet. What are they waiting for?

So nothing happened here :-( and the domain is up for sale sigh.
