Are you talking about PC?

Just before you posted this I wanted to create a thread comparing BF1 servers on PS4 vs Xbox one. From what I have seen there are way more PS4 BF 1 players than on xbox one in SA.

Is Battlefield 1 dead in SA for the PC?

I finished re-downloading after many months of not playing, but the servers are empty.
Only one premium only active server and I am not paying twice for the same game so premium is not an option

Pretty dissapointing

Do not own it on PC but I know xbox one BF1 is pretty much dead basically just 1 or 2 servers that have some players. PS4 is where it's at. BF1 premium and Titanfall 2 went on special for R279 on PS4 too which is an extra bargain.

I see they are steadily releasing the DLC for free like they did with Battlefield 4
So eventually everyone will have all the content and there should hopefully be one or two consistently populated servers.

Last night there was a non premium operations server that was pretty full so not completely dead just yet.

Best ping I have on local servers is between 70 - 90 on a good night.
EU is not a viable option for me if I actually want to enjoy the game.

May I ask which area are you from?

The servers are all JHB based and with my Fibre line in Gauteng I get 2ms. On Telkom LTE it's like 30ms max.

On the Garden Route outside of the towns. I am forced to use a wisp since not even Telkom reaches where I am.
The only negative living away from too many people, but the ping is manageable on local servers.

International is out of the question though, since playing with a ping averaging in the 200's is not enjoyable so I can't play any online games that require accuracy and timing with no local servers.

Ohh okay yeah and servers are JHB based. I'm also lucky to get like 169ms to eu dublin servers so that is also nice if I have to play on int servers.

EA has been having connection and server issues since the bf v beta launched. The usual nonsense. Their servers obviously cannot handle the extra load.

That said, I haven't been online in the last few days waiting for the beta to end, so I can play on stable servers again. Should be fine by now.
Check downdetector to make sure

I've been finding the servers very laggy since Friday last week. Extreme rubber banding as well.
Just me?

Battelfield 1 premium pass free.

From Carbonite.

"From 11 to 18 September, Battlefield 1's premium pass, which includes all 4 expansion packs for Battlefield 1, will be free to claim and keep (forever).
The premium pass would set you back R800 if you were to buy it today.
You do not need to own the base game to claim the offer, but you will need it to access the pass' content. "

I'm sure there is a thread around here somewhere but the premium pass for Battlefield 4 is also free.
