Battlefield 2 ADSL Usage??

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if it's just me, or if someone else can confirm that Battlefield 2 playing multiplayer online takes a lot of usage on ADSL? I was playing last night from about 19:00 to 23:30 and according to my ADSL usage it downloaded and uploaded a total of 220MB worth of data. Is this normal?? I was playing on one of the SGS servers. It seems a little high though, meaning that it uses about 50MB per hour.

Anyways...awesome game and I love playing it, I'm just worried about my usage and wonder if I have to look at getting more than a 5GB account.

yep pretty normal usage for BF2, it uses more if you do VOIP as well.

Also depends on how many players are on...i.e. 64 player map usage is huge

SGS seems to be capped at 48 players. 50mb an hour isn't bad...I think it's worth it. It's such a stunning game

Yeah there was too much lag on the 64-player server (probably due to Telscum ironically)

Nope. You still need to connect BFHQ which is int.

I use WebAfrica prepaid. If you run out you just buy another gig, what's left at the end of the mont just gets transfered to next month. (R75/gb) Currently using about 3gb a month just for BF2.

Have'nt yet seen a acount big enuf or afordable enuf for downloading porn , but for BF2 i get thru on 3gb a month.

Im soooo sick of playing against the bots. I applied this morning with Telkom for the line but now I have to wait for bloody weeks before its gets installed.

I guess I'll just have to download porn from work to save precious MB at home
