Think you guys will appreciate these photos by Timothy Allen. It was taken as part of the Human Planet documentary BBC made.

The second photo in the video looks like it is from the people re-plastering / rebuilding the Djenne Mosque. The third one is a Dogon village in Mali. The biggest part of 2010 I spent travelling through Africa and saw these places myself. I saw similar tribes in the congo Basin as well but in DRC and Congo not where he took it, it took us about three weeks to get through the forests. Sad thing is the Chinese are there building roads, cutting down trees left and right. I also have a heartbreaking photo of two little kids who can't be much older than 6 or 7 standing on top of that rubbish dump in Mombasa, just standing there holding hands staring into the world beyond the dump. Nowhere near as good as his photos of course

I've only recently become aware of the brilliant documentaries by the BBC. Planet Earth (2007) and Life (2009) was great. I'm now looking forward to watching Human Planet
