I would suggest all IT users who buy direct from distributors are wary of Esquire technologies tactics, before you get burnt too. A clear warranty issue has been voided so that they do not have to supply a new unit. I was stupid to buy the thing in the first place but my client was pushy and desperate... oh well, lesson learnt.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED... AVOID ESQUIRE AT ALL COSTS.

I'd rather buy from Sahara quite honestly!!!

Sahara even swapped out a opened laser toner cartridge for me (the cartridge was the wrong model). Now them Rectron sob's have screwed me quite a bit...

Rectron is fine when it comes to hard drives, in fact they are the best! Never had a problem with them. In fact I dealt with distributors for the past 10 years and I have never experinced anything as obtuse as this thing with Esquire. Plain and dimple, they are thieves. Buy from them at your peril!

They are sending me pricing for a long time! When I decided to get an account there, I called and spoke to a certain Gent and I had the same uneasy feeling you are referring to: Bottom line is I did not even apply. Corex, Rectron, and the now bit lame, Sahara is still tops! Also spoke to Memory wizard the last few days, Same do not want an account there either!

I've received spam from Esquire, and simply flagged it as such.

Now I'm glad I did so... dimple indeed... :D

Yo Grumplngs!!!!!

Well my experince of Esquire in Durban is quite the opposite.
I had purchased some goods that were oredered incorrectly by my client and i had to swap them out.
To cut a lng story shot, Esquire Technology busted a gut to help me and even sent a vehicle to collect the items that were not in stock.

I always have excellent service from Esquire - Durban
Dean and Linda are always first class.

Thanks Esquire for good service!!!!!!

We have also had some very VERY bad experiences with Esquire Cape Town. I agree - avoid them like the plague. Sahara Cape Town is also absolutely shocking, have at least 5 horror stories from them - with us loosing out each and every time as it is not fair to the customer when YOU KNOW that the warranty is still valid - we replaced the items out of our own pockets for the clients. Been sworn at by the despatch people (would love to mention names) - over something as silly as refusing to sign the invoice because the product on the table did not match what was on the invoice. Was told to F off and was ignored for 20min, after demanding to see Deon the branch manager (which they refused) I barged into his office on my own accord only to be told that "I MUST understand that they work in a cramped environment and are therefore stressed and this gives them an excuse to be rude to customers"! Please...there is no excuse that lets you be rude to a customer!

Needless to say we wont go near them - but whats laughable is that if you go by there nowadays they are NOT NEARLY as busy as they used to be! And they deserve it!

Looking for good suppliers - Rectron CPT and DBN are fantastic. We have taken items back which we know are out of warranty - and guess what. They still make a plan. Thanks to Ian/Simon in CPT and the lady in DBN. The entire sales team are fantastic aswell. Another good company is Frontosa CPT - give them a try. Richard/Eddie and Evert are all brilliant - even with returns and problems. They really do go out of their way.

Just my 2c...

I buy from esquire Midrand on occation and never had any problems I had an Intel board from them fry and they replaced it even though the warrentee stated that if there is visable physical damage to the board the warrentee would not be honoured. One chip looked like it turned itself inside out.

1. Dnt accept goods that arent sealed on delivery.
2. Ask them for a written report on why the warrentee was voided and threaten legal action.

Esquire rebrand Manhattan and benq products so the monitor is probably a benq

I agree, but in the middle of December one has to make a plan for a client who has more money than he can spend in a lifetime. Nobody else had stock and the closest guarantee I could get from anyone was "will arrive mid Jan sometime". Remember in December no ships could dock because of the wind. Esquire claimed they had loads of stock.... the only thing worse than buying that no name crap was buying the no name crap in an unsealed box.
